The Animal Rescue Site - The Animal Rescue Site focuses the power of the Internet on a specific need -- providing food for some of the 27 million unwanted animals given to shelters in the US every year. Over 10 million animals are put to death every year in the US alone because they are unwanted, abandoned, or abused. Each click on the purple "Feed an Animal in Need" button (as shown below) at The Animal Rescue Site provides food for an animal at North Shore Animal League America or at one of the Fund For Animals' world renowned animal sanctuaries, including the Black Beauty Ranch in Texas and the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in California. Elvis Presley Elvis Presley's Official Website Elvex Pages - A very famous Elvis site. Elvis News - Just what it says; news about Elvis. A very good site. The Official Site of Kathy Westmoreland - This site is about a wonderful singer that worked with Elvis Presley. Her insights on Elvis as a person are precious. The site has beautiful pictures and a lot more to come. Kathy Westmoreland is also a real friend to animals and she really works on their behalf. A must see for all Elvis fans and also animal lovers. Kathy is currently working on her dog‘s website, so keep going back. All the profit from picture sales goes to help The Society of Singers and The Humane Society of the United States. Brazil Virtual Trip to Brazil - A beautiful page about Brazil with a lot of information about the country and its culture (people, music, literature, folk stories and much more). A lot of the site is in English. Maria Brazil - Another great site about Brazil with great pictures and food recipies among other things! This site is in English. Ribeirao Preto - A site about my hometown, Ribeirao Preto, SP Brazil. It has some beautiful pictures and a list of cultural events in the city. The site is in Portuguese. Memória Viva - História rima com Memória - This is a wonderful site about some of the best artists in Brazil. A must see especially for Monteiro Lobato (Mari's favorite writer) and Carlos Drummond de Andrade (Mari's favorite poet). You can even listen to Drummond saying his poems; plus much more. The site is in Portuguese. Family TunnelTwo.com - Robert's website about The Three Investigators books. I really like it! Nando Araujo's Site - This is Mari’s brother's site. I really love it, so please check it out! Nando is a very good musician. The site is currently only in Portuguese, but will also be in English very soon. |
