Patrick McDonnell draws the comic strip "Mutts" used in my site. I am an only a fan of the comic and do not mean any harm, so I just wanted to say that all images of Earl and Mooch are the intellectual property of artist Patrick McDonnell. To learn more about "Mutts," please visit Mutt's Online. "Mutts" is distributed nationally by King Features Syndicate to 450 newspapers and has also been published in more than 20 countries. The comic shows the adventures of Earl (the dog) and Mooch (the cat) from the animal's perspective. It also creates awareness to the importance of adopting pets, which are kept in shelters. In recognition of his many contributions to animal protection, McDonell was recently appointed to serve on HSUS's Board of Directors. The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) can be seen on the web at The Human Society. A dedicated advocate for animal protection, McDonnell has twice received the Ark Trust's Genesis Award for outstanding contribution to animal protection by a cartoonist, first in 1997 and again in 1999.
